Aegis Armor W.I.P. Update

Update shot of my N7 Aegis armor build! Fabrication is very nearly complete at this point, requiring just a bit of detailing after today(smoothing out edges, re-working a few of the straps, etc), so I can start painting almost immediately.

Obviously, the finished product will be worn with Under-Armor or some such undersuit, and not a t-shirt and jeans! This was just shot so that I could post an update, and to make last-step revisions as needed from the images.

After shooting these photos, I actually gained a better idea for how the armor hangs and fits on me, and I will be altering it a bit between now and the first coat of paint. The most drastic change coming will be a separation of the hip and upper thigh pieces. As a single piece of foam, they just restricted my range of movement far more than I was comfortable with, so I'll have to make that one aesthetic sacrifice for the sake of practicality.

And for the keen-eyed observer, yes, I did take a few liberties with the design of the armor, particularly in the legs. I actually used the thigh design of Mass Effect 3's N7 greaves, but shook it up to use the Ariake version of the shin and boot armor. Not a game-friendly alteration, I know, but I like those boots better, and they fit the lines of the Aegis vest, I think.
